Outline Extractor, Version 2.0

For many years, the original Essbase Outline Extractor was one of the most popular free utilities for Essbase. Over the past year, however, Essbase administrators have adopted the Next Generation Outline Extractor as the new standard for outline extraction. Based on feedback from our users, we have incorporated many suggestions that are now available in version 2.0.

The Next Generation Outline Extractor has a number of advantages over the original Essbase Outline Extractor, including:

• Runs on most operating systems, including both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, Unix, Linux and even Mac OS
• Easier to deploy as everything needed, except Java, is included in the download
• Export to many formats, including Load File, Hyperion Planning Outline Load, and relational tables
• Built-in support for interactive and automated operations

New for Version 2.0:

• Ability to use the fast MaxL XML format as an input source
• Enhanced Filtering capabilities

Есть недочеты в статье (OeBS стал инструментом другого вендора, не упомянут ODI рядом с FDM), но в целом все корректно.
